Toyota RAV4 2007: Heavy steering
Asked by Kerrie Hoggard
I have just brought a 2007 Toyota RAV4 and I have found it is very heavy to drive. It's heavy to steer and turn corners, and I'm so worried I have made the wrong choice. I have a back injury and like how easy it is to get in and out of, but now from one day of driving it I have more pain after and while driving it. Could you tell me what it might be?

23 May 2014It begs the question did you drive the car before you bought it. If so was the steering heavy, and has it changed since you drove it? It shouldn't be as heavy to steer as you suggest yours is. I would suggest it's a failure of the power steering system, and that you should have it checked.
