Ford Territory transmission damage
Asked by Roslyn Watts
My 2011 Ford Territory has only done 159,000 km and the transmission is shuddering and banging. I took it to the dealer and all they can say is that it is an internal fault. They are telling me to replace the gearbox. Do you have any ideas what it could be? I'm the first owner and have had it for just less than five years.

9 Jun 2017It's not uncommon to hear of transmission troubles with the Territory. I'd suggest you get a second opinion by taking it to an independent automatic transmission specialist who should be able to diagnose the trouble and suggest a fix.
