I'm considering updating my 2012 Mazda CX-5 GT diesel to the new Hyundai Tucson Highlander. But performance wise, should I spend $2000 more for the 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbodiesel instead of the 1.6-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol? I note the Tucson has a panoramic sunroof so does this have any effect on the head room as I am about 182cm tall.

6 Nov 2015The diesel is definitely the better engine choice in the Tucson, but you'll be giving up some headroom in the Highlander as — like virtually all sunroofs — it pinches a bit of roof clearance.
