Asked by Sam Fresta
IN REGARD to James Boyce's question in carsGuide regarding a Commodore V6 engine conversion on the Ford Transit van, there is a company in Moree called Moree V6 Conversions (02 6751 1243). Two of my clients have had the conversion done and it's a neat fit, but both had to change the differential ratios to reduce the engine speed. The conversion is a drive-in drive-out deal and comes with an engineer's report and certificate.

8 Jan 2010THANKS Sam, and for anyone thinking of doing the conversion the information about the need to change the diff ratio is important to note. For readers in Victoria, we have been told the Castlemaine Rod Shop is able to do the conversion too.
