Nissan X-Trail: Vibrating
Asked by Kevin
I recently purchased a 2017 Nissan X-trail FWD with the CVT auto. I never noticed anything wrong with the vehicle on the test drive, but after buying it and driving it around I noticed a vibration at certain times. I mentioned it to the service manager at the 1000 km service and had one of their chief mechanics take it for a drive with me. He told me this was normal, that they all did it with the new CVT. I have since contacted Nissan only to be told the same thing. It's annoying, I can't understand how they can sell a new vehicle with a fault that they know about and nothing can be done about it. I just have to put up with it.

27 Oct 2017It is annoying, but it’s not unusual for carmakers to produce a car with a known flaw. They sometimes judge that it’s not serious enough to do anything about.
