The engine warning light on my 2010 VW Golf recently came on.
I took it to local my dealer and they told me the air intake manifold flaps would need to be replaced. The car has only done 88,000 km. The cost to fix is approx. $1400. After contacting VW Aust. and talking to the dealer, I was able to reduce this cost to approximately half the quoted cost. Have you heard of this happening to many VWs, or any other car engines?

27 Jul 2018We haven’t had any previous reports of the problem that has affected your car. On the surface, it appears that VW has done the right thing by you in offering to repair your car at half the original quoted price.
