While driving my new VW Polo GTi home from the dealership the engine completely cut out, nearly resulting in an accident through not having any power steering or power assistance for the brakes. The dealer and VW informed me that the solution is to replace the engine, as there was no compression. I would think a better solution would be a replacement vehicle or a refund of my money.

14 Apr 2011That's a little premature given the company has agreed to replace the engine, which they claim is the source of the problem. While I can understand your frustration, I would let them rectify the problem first.
