I am another VW owner who has had problems with the DSG gearbox. I bought a new VW Polo in June 2010 and took it back the very next day because there were issues with the transmission. Despite assurances from the dealer that it would be sorted out at the first service it wasn't and the problems spiraled out of control from there. For 14 months I got nowhere with the dealer or VW, but I have just heard from the dealer that VW will replace the gearbox under warranty. About time is all I can say. This gearbox is a lemon, no doubt about it!

25 Aug 2011We have sent your complaints on to VW, as we will do with any other report of a DSG problem we receive, and seek an explanation of the problem and what the company is doing to fix it.
