Hyundai i30: Warning against PD
Asked by Browne
I would like to warn anyone considering buying a PD Hyundai i30. Check it before taking delivery of it, and drive it. I have a PD i30 and I'm far from happy. It’s ok mechanically, but the body assembly is woeful. The right side of the car is good but the left side is noisy, the doors, dash, and everything rattles. The dealer and Hyundai don't want to know about it.

10 Aug 2018Everyone should check his or her new car before taking delivery of it, no matter the brand. You shouldn’t just assume that because it is new that it is without flaw. Having taken delivery you have much less power to have problems corrected, leaving you in the situation of having to negotiate with the dealer and the carmaker to get a satisfactory outcome. If you feel they are not interested in your concerns you should contact your state’s consumer affairs department and seek their advice.
