Weird sound when I crank the engine

Asked by Zilla

When I turn the ignition on in my 1997 Falcon Fairmont there is a clicking sound in the motor. My brother seems to think it's either the distributor or spark plugs?

It won’t be the distributor or the spark plugs. If it happens when you turn the key to the start position to crank the engine it could be the starter solenoid.
