My daughter is looking to buy her first car. Where we live is countryish, outside of Beaudesert, Qld, so she has a 40 min drive on the highway to work, but then a gravel road of about 1 km. Also when it rains we often get flash flooding or water across the roads. What vehicle options under $20,000 would be best buy?

12 Oct 2018For starters you should tell her not to drive into floodwaters. I would suggest a small hatch, something like a Toyota Corolla, Mazda3, or Hyundai i30. All are reliable, economical, safe, and within your budget.
