Mitsubishi Triton 2015: Shuddering

Asked by Don Dissanayake

Some time after buying a 2015 Mitsubishi Triton GLX-R an issue arose when it started to shudder when driving at 60-80 km/h. After 5-6 visits to the dealer they changed the injectors and some other parts and it was good for a month before starting again. This time the ABS and traction control lights come on and stay on for a while. The dealer said the computer has detected a low voltage, as in a low battery. I have done 65,000 km. Surely this cannot happen. Recently, the gearbox started to jump after a cold start, but is ok when the engine warms up. With my last contact with the dealer said, they are expecting a "Mitsubishi Rep" to their workshop, but I am waiting nearly with no outlook. Please help me.

It would seem that there is an electronic issue with your car; the challenge for the dealer is to find the cause so it can be fixed. The car is still in warranty so you should be pressing the dealer and Mitsubishi to fix it, and fast. Go back to the dealer and find out when the Mitsubishi rep will be checking your car. If you get no satisfaction from the dealer, go directly to Mitsubishi's customer assistance people (Ph: 1300 13 12 11) and explain your problem to them.
