When Rust Must Go

Asked by Damon Tran

WHEN having my 35,000km VY Commodore Series II serviced, I was told that the radiator had severe rusting. I was told it would cost $400 to repair. Should I let them do it or do you have any tips to solve the problem?

ASK them to show you where it's rusting. If it's just the coolant that is a rusty colour, have them change the coolant and make sure you regularly change it at least once a year. If the rust is causing a leak, have it repaired.
