Which dual cab ute should I buy?

I am looking to buy a dual-cab ute soon and am not sure which way to look. I will be using it for work for the next five years and on weekends for pleasure. I like the Toyota HiLux, which is old and soon to be replaced but a proven performer, against Ford Ranger and Mazda BT-50, both newer models. Mitsubishi's Triton has only a four-star safety rating but due to its price is it still worth looking at. I got the impression the new Nissan Navara is not as impressive as it could have been. Is it worth waiting for other new models to come on to the market?

7 Oct 2014The new HiLux and Triton will arrive in the first half of next year. If you're planning a five-year run for your new ute it would be worth waiting to see how the pecking order changes once they're in place.
