Starting problem with 2010 Ford Ranger

Asked by Sandy

My Ford 2010 Ranger has a starting problem that no mechanics can seem to fix. On some occasions, after I have driven for half an hour I stop to go to the shop for five minutes and when I try to start the car the battery sounds dead. If I leave it for 10 minutes it will start like nothing is wrong! Please help.

Is it getting hot when you’re driving it? A car can be hard to start, even sound like the battery is flat when you go to crank it, when it gets hot. Leaving it the extra time gives it a chance to cool down.
