Holden Barina 2006: Why is it stalling and won't start?

Asked by Justine Hill

What's the problem, or should I say problems with my 2006 Holden Barina when the engine light comes on, the engine revs drop and the engine stalls, there's reduced engine power, it smells like something is burning and sometimes doesn't start? Please help!

It's an electrical or electronic fault that's causing your car to go into the default limp home mode. It's not possible to say exactly what is wrong, do that you need to take the car to a mechanic and have them diagnose the problem on their equipment.
