Jeep Australia has released 80th Anniversary special editions of the Cherokee mid-size SUV and Grand Cherokee and Wrangler Unlimited large SUVs to celebrate the American brand’s birthday.
The Cherokee, Grand Cherokee and Wrangler Unlimited are limited to 80, 160 and 160 examples, with the trio priced from $51,941, $66,941 and $71,941 plus on-road costs respectively.
All three 80th Anniversary models feature Granite Crystal accents (including on their alloy wheels) and badging, with the latter including a specific ‘80th Anniversary’ item featuring the side profile of the original Willys Jeep.

Inside, black leather upholstery teams with Light Tungsten stitching and ‘80th Anniversary’ seat tags, while an ‘80th Anniversary’ applique drives the point home alongside a ‘Since 1941’ start screen for the 8.4-inch touchscreen’s Uconnect multimedia system.
Then the Cherokee and Grand Cherokee go it alone with a dual-pane panoramic sunroof (normally a $2200/$2500 option) and Berber floor mats with ‘80th Anniversary’ tags.
Meanwhile, the Wrangler Unlimited exclusively gets a Sky-One-Touch Power Top (usually a $4950 option) and an ‘80th Anniversary’ tailgate plague that again references the original Willys Jeep.
Based on the $49,950 Cherokee Limited, the Cherokee 80th Anniversary pairs a 200kW/315Nm 3.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol V6 engine with a nine-speed torque-converter automatic transmission and a four-wheel-drive system.
Meanwhile, the Grand Cherokee 80th Anniversary builds upon the recently discontinued $63,950 Grand Cherokee Limited, with it featuring a 213kW/347Nm 3.6-litre naturally aspirated petrol V6, an eight-speed torque-converter automatic and 4WD.
With the $66,750 Wrangler Unlimited Overland as its foundations, the Wrangler Unlimited 80th Anniversary uses a 209kW/347Nm version of the Grand Cherokee 80th Anniversary’s engine, transmission and drivetrain combination.
