2021 Nissan Navara pricing and specs detailed: PRO-4X dual-cab ute sets sights on Ford Ranger Wildtrak and Toyota HiLux SR5

Nissan Australia will launch its facelifted Navara ute with drive-away pricing for ABN holders and standard advanced safety systems in a bid to steal sales away from the Ford Ranger and Toyota HiLux.

Though pricing for the full range – as well as recommended retail figures – are yet to be revealed, the new Navara line-up is headlined by the PRO-4X 4x4 dual-cab ute, available to ABN holders for $59,790 and $61,290 for the manual and automatic respectively.

Three other grades are available with drive-away pricing though, kicking off with the SL Cab Chassis 4x2 manual for $32,990 and its 4x4 dual-cab version at $49,490.

The ST-X 4x4 dual-cab ute can also be had for $57,290 (manual) and $57,290 (auto) for business buyers.

The full Navara range encompasses three body styles (Single, King and Dual Cab), two drivetrains (4x2 and 4x4) and two transmission choices (manual and auto), but full pricing details – including the status of the RX grade that looks to be discontinued – are to be confirmed.

All grades are powered by a 140kW/450Nm 2.3-litre twin-turbo-diesel engine, save for the SL 4x2 manual that uses a 120kW/403Nm single turbo version of the same engine.

Standard equipment on the SL Single Cab includes 17-inch steel wheels, halogen headlights, 8.0-inch multimedia touchscreen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, full-size spare wheel, 7.0-inch driver display, and power windows and door mirrors.

On the safety front, cruise control, automatic headlights, hill-start assist, revering camera, seven airbags, trailer sway control, autonomous emergency braking (AEB) and driver attention alert at no extra cost.

Grades with a 4x4 drivetrain also score hill-descent control and a rear differential lock, and stepping into the SL King Cab also nets buyers a digital speedometer and rear passenger air vents.

Moving to the ST grade, which is available only in dual-cab form, adds satellite navigation, digital radio, 17-inch alloy wheels, privacy glass, power-sliding rear window, leather-accented steering wheel and shifter, polished steel sports bar, LED headlights and heated door mirrors.

4x4 versions of the ST are also fitted with an off-road monitor and drive-mode selector.

Safety is also significantly boosted in the ST thanks to rear cross-traffic alert, a surround-view monitor, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, high beam assist and rain-sensing wipers.

The ST-X (available in King- and Dual-Cab form) includes a towbar, two-channel sliding tie down hooks in the tray, 18-inch wheels, dual-zone climate control, push-button start and auto-folding side mirrors, tyre pressure monitoring, and rear parking sensors on top of the ST equipment.

Of note, leather-accented seats, heated front seats and a power-adjustable driver’s seat are standard on the ST-X King-Cab, but are available as options on the Dual-Cab version.

Naturally, the PRO-4X features the most equipment, and adds bespoke leather-accented seats and 17-inch alloy wheels shod in all-terrain tyres, as well as a host of blacked-out exterior accessories including fender flares, roof rails, sports bar, door mirrors, side steps, grille and door handles.

Full pricing is expected close to the new Navara’s early 2021 launch.
