2021 Tesla Model X pricing and specs detailed: Long Range Plus arrives to take electric SUV further alongside updated Performance

The Tesla Model X now has a longer driving range.
Tesla Australia has given its all-electric flagship, the Model X large SUV, an update that improves driving range.
The entry-level Long Range has been replaced by the aptly named Long Range Plus, which has an NEDC driving range that’s 53km longer, at 633km.
Meanwhile, the flagship Performance has carried over, although an update means it now travels 619km (+62km) between charges.

While both variants are powered by dual-motor powertrains, the Performance features the coveted Ludicrous drive mode as standard, with it lowering the Model X’s zero-to-100km/h sprint time to a supercar-like 2.8 seconds.
That said, the Long Range Plus is no slouch in a straight line, either, hitting triple digits in 4.6s, according to Tesla Australia. Yep, it’s not quicker than the Long Range was.
The new Long Range Plus and updated Performance can be delivered locally as early as the second half of next month.
