2023 Ineos Grenadier price and specs detailed: Toyota LandCruiser 70 Series rival opens order books for rugged SUV

Ineos has opened the order books for its Grenadier off-roader, which will be available in three different body styles.

Opening the range is the Utility Wagon, which is “designed primarily to carry loads”, according to Ineos, and features seating for two and a full-height cargo barrier in the rear.

With a flat floor, the Grenadier Utility Wagon will also accommodate a standard Euro pallet and kicks off with the unnamed variant for $84,500 before on-road costs.

Standard equipment includes 17-inch steel wheels wrapped in all-terrain tyres, rear side panels instead of windows, dirt and water-resistant cloth and vinyl seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, heavy duty flooring with drain valves, and a centre differential lock.

In terms of safety, there is a reversing camera and rear parking sensors.

The Utility Wagon is also available in Trailmaster Edition, which adds the ‘Rough pack’ and ‘Smooth pack’ as standard, bundling BFGoodrich all-terrain tyres, front and rear differential locks, front parking sensors, heated side mirrors, a lockable interior centre storage box, and door lighting.

The bodywork is also different in Trailmaster guise with the inclusion of a raised air intake and exterior utility belts, while pricing rises to $95,495.

For customers that want a little more modern convenience, there is the Fieldmaster Edition variant, which scores 17-inch alloy wheels, leather interior, heated front seats and carpet floor mats, as well as the ‘Smooth pack’ equipment for the same $95,495 price as the Trailmaster.

The Grenadier is also available in five-seat form, known as the Station Wagon body style, kicking off from $85,500 for the unnamed grade, while the Trailmaster Edition and Fieldmaster Edition are priced at $96,495 each.

Each Station Wagon variant mirrors its two-seat Utility Wagon siblings for equipment.

Two BMW-sourced 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder engine choices are also available across the range – one 210kW/450Nm petrol and the other a 183kW/550Nm diesel – and both are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Choosing petrol or diesel is a no-cost option, while the petrol returns a fuel economy figure of 15.2 litres per 100km, while the diesel sips 11.8L/100km.

A Double Cab Pick-Up body style will also be made available in future, but pricing and spec is yet to be confirmed.
