2023 Isuzu MU-X price and specs: Updates and changes detailed for Ford Everest rival!

There are a few exterior differences for the 2023 Isuzu MU-X range.

The 2023 Isuzu MU-X model range has seen some important equipment and technology changes based on feedback from customers.

Isuzu Ute Australia has tweaked the Model Year 2023 (23MY) Isuzu MU-X line-up, with the on-sale date officially set for December 1, 2022 - but despite some incremental adjustments to spec, there have been no price changes or adjustments to the model range.

All MU-X models continue on with the tried-and-tested 3.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine producing 140kW and 450Nm, a six-speed automatic transmission as standard, and the choice of rear-wheel drive (4x2) or four-wheel drive (4x4) across all three grades.

As such, the brand continues with the MU-X LS-M kicking things off, with a handful of adjustments. It now scores a two-tone black grille, LED combination rear lights with dark grey metallic trimming, and new design 17-inch alloy wheels.

One change that is made to all MU-X grades is a towing-based adjustment, whereby blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert will be disabled when the vehicle recognises there's a trailer, caravan or horse float in tow. In the 2021 and 2022 models, that system didn't auto-disable.

The next step up the MU-X range, the LS-U, now also scores a different grille ("magnetite" and black chrome), additional magnetite accents around the exterior of the car (fog-light surrounds, rear bumper, roof rails, side steps) and inside (dash and door trims) and LED rear lighting, plus an auto hands-free tailgate and tyre pressure monitoring.

The top-spec MU-X LS-T also scores a new grille appearance (magnetite and black chrome) and exterior accents, LED tail-lights, new-look 20-inch six-spoke wheels, tyre pressure monitoring and an auto tailgate.

When the vehicle recognises there's a trailer, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are disabled. When the vehicle recognises there's a trailer, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are disabled.

Sadly, Isuzu still hasn't offered an equivalent X-Terrain spec for the MU-X to this point.

Buyers will have the choice of eight colours. There's a new hue - Galaxy Blue Mica - which sits alongside Basalt Black Mica, Mercury Silver metallic, Obsidian Chrome metallic, Moonstone White Pearl (LS-U/LS-T only), Magnetic Red Mica and Cobalt Blue Mica. All of those cost an extra $650, while Mineral White solid paint is the only no cost option.

The MU-X LS-T wears new-look 20-inch alloy wheels. The MU-X LS-T wears new-look 20-inch alloy wheels.

As with all Isuzu models, the MU-X marches on with a six-year/150,000km warranty, but with seven years of capped-price servicing and roadside assist.

Deliveries of 23MY MU-X models are expected to commence in December.
