2023 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport prices up as new features added

Prices are up across the range for Pajero Sport, with small changes for the 2023 model year incoming.

The 2023 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport will be updated for 2023, with the large SUV’s price also set to increase once the updated version becomes available.

The headline change for the Pajero Sport range is the addition of Mitsubishi’s tyre pressure monitor, which is now standard for all variants except the base GLX.

The updated Pajero Sport, which will be available in showrooms from April 2023, starts at $44,940 before on-road costs for the two-wheel drive GLX five-seat variant, which is up $500 from its previous price.

The GLX is also available in 4WD, starting from $49,940 and also up $500 on its former price.

For the rest of the range, the addition of the tyre pressure monitor increases the prices more-so, and each variant’s price jumps by $1000.

This puts the seven-seat GLS at a new starting price of $50,190 for its two-wheel drive version, or $55,190 for the 4WD variant.

Mitsubishi is continuing the GLS Deluxe option pack, priced from $57,440, which adds power adjustable leather front seats, a surround-view camera, and a camera switch on the steering wheel for extra ease while parking.

Further up the range, the Pajero Sport Exceed now starts from $60,690, and is available with optional Impulse Blue (as can the GLS).

Finally, the range-topping GSR is priced from $62,440, and features the same ‘sporty’ extras as before, with 18-inch alloys, black accented trim and grille, as well as a roof spoiler.

The pricing changes have not altered the Pajero Sport's position as the more affordable option among its direct rivals, which include the Ford Everest (from $52,990), Isuzu MU-X (from $48,900) and Toyota Fortuner (from $49,965).

The Pajero Sport’s drivetrain remains unchanged, with a 2.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine making 133kW and 430Nm in all variants, mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
