2024 Ineos Grenadier pricing: Cost of new Toyota LandCruiser 70 Series rival has jumped since Australian release

The Ineos Grenadier entry price is now $24,500 higher than when the Toyota LandCruiser 70 Series wagon rival was released in October 2022. 

By November 2022, Ineos had increased prices for its Grenadier 4x4 range by more than $12K, before the price was raised again on the brand’s website in July 2023, coinciding with the confirmation of the Quartermaster ute. 

The increased prices have only recently been picked up by industry guides, with the most affordable Grenadier Utility wagon now from $109,000 and the Trialmaster $122,000, both before on-road costs (see full pricing table below). At launch, those variants were $84,500 and $95,495, respectively. 

“Prices were increased for the Grenadier in July 2023, in line with the unveiling of the Quartermaster”, an Ineos spokesperson told CarsGuide. 

There are no additions to the feature list to coincide with the price increases, rather Ineos puts them down to increased costs in the production process. 

“When the Grenadier project started in 2017, we set out to deliver a utilitarian vehicle, but as we progressed we refused to compromise on quality and developed a more refined and impressive vehicle as a result”, the spokesperson added.

Available in basic two-seat Utility Wagon or five-seat Station Wagon guise with your choice of a 3.0-litre petrol or diesel straight-six sourced from BMW and an eight-speed auto from ZF, locking front and rear differential are optional for the ladder-frame, live-axle 4x4. 

With further production of V8 70 Series LandCruiser production hanging in the balance, the Grenadier may be the only rugged off-roader fitted with an engine bigger than four cylinders. 

As it is not a member of the Federal Chamber of Automobile industries (FCAI), Ineos does not report its sales in monthly VFACTS figures. CarsGuide has contacted Ineos to obtain sales figures of the Grenadier.
