Renault has revealed a major styling update for the smallest SUV it offers in Australia, the Captur, which is confirmed for Australian release within a year.
While the obvious headline change for the 2025 Renault Captur is the new face, the Captur also gets some important tech and convenience updates.
Now with a look in line with the French brand’s current design language, the five-year-old current generation Captur scores a sleeker grille with the redesigned Renault logo in the centre. New headlights, daytime running lights, alloy wheel designs and paint colours feature as well.
The brand also says the update features interior nods to the Alpine brand with splashes of blue, aluminium trim and the French flag used as a motif throughout.
Renault has revealed a major styling update for the smallest SUV it offers in Australia, the Captur.
As in the Megane E-Tech, Renault has avoided using leather and chrome in the Captur, replacing the former with “grained cover material” in an effort to phase out the use of animal products and materials.
For the driver, a digital dash up to 12.25-inches is available depending on the variant, with a Harman Kardon sound system and glass sunroof fitted to higher trims or available as options.
The Renault Captur is currently available in Australia in four variants from $33,000 before on-road costs Life to the R.S. Line at $41,300, though it’s unclear what the line-up will look like when the facelift lands.
Inside, a 10.4-inch ‘portrait’-oriented touchscreen replaces the old 9.3-inch unit.
It is expected during Q1 2025, according to a spokesperson from Renault Australia, and with arrivals of the pre-facelift Captur finished there may be a stock gap until the new models arrive.
The Captur currently comes with a 113kW/270Nmturbocharged1.3-litre four-cylinder petrol engine in Australia, though a hybrid is available in Europe. Renault Australia wasn’t able to confirm any further information about the updated model such as drivetrains or pricing.
