Big price move for cult Aussie 4x4! Suzuki Jimny moves to "easier than ever" drive-away pricing in Australia to shake-up the more expensive 4WD market dominated by the Toyota Prado, Toyota LandCruiser and Ford Everest
One of Australia’s easiest-to-sell models is getting a revised pricing structure in the name of simplicity, with the Suzuki Jimny now offered at drive-away prices.
The Suzuki Jimny has been in such consistent demand that there are still extensive wait times, though the brand says it’s “succeeding in securing greater production” this year.
Seemingly to make things simpler for customers, and likely be more transparent with dealer pricing, the new national drive-away pricing structure for the Suzuki Jimny now starting at $34,990 no more to pay.

The Jimny doesn’t seem to be more expensive, with the drive-away pricing just absorbing the circa-$4500 on-road costs. This means the previous $34,990 starting price for the Jimny XL is now $39,490 drive-away.
A full list of prices can be found below, with Suzuki Australia adding that single-tone metallic paint is a $745 option and two-tone metallic paint comes in at $1345.
“We are excited to introduce drive-away pricing for Jimny, making it easier than ever for Australians to experience the thrill and functionality of this iconic vehicle, understanding in absolute transparency its undeniable value,” said Suzuki Australia General Manager of Automotive Michael Pachota.
“Whilst wait times still apply, we are consistently succeeding in securing greater production in 2024, which means more customers can get behind the wheel of their new Jimny sooner!
“Passion for the Jimny and its community continue to grow, there is literally not a day I don’t see five or six Jimnys on the road, exchanging the ‘Jimny wave’ (it’s the law!) as we spot each other amidst the boring spread of vehicles around us in traffic.”
For the first half of 2024, Jimny sales were up more than 55 per cent compared to the first half of 2023, with the brand shifting 4710 Jimnys in the first half of this year over 3027 last.
