Ford Performance has revealed the Mustang Mach-E 1400, the most powerful variant of the Blue Oval’s all-electric SUV to date. It’s so powerful, in fact, that its seven electric motors punch out a combined 1044kW.
Developed with RTR Vehicles, the Mustang Mach-E 1400 is a one-off prototype that looks to silence the doubters who we’re less than pleased to see the Pony badge on anything other than a tyre-smoking muscle car.
“Now is the perfect time to leverage electric technology, learn from it, and apply it to our line-up,” said Ford Mustang Mach-E chief program engineer Ron Heiser.
“Mustang Mach-E is going to be fun to drive, just like every other Mustang before it, but Mustang Mach-E 1400 is completely insane, thanks to the efforts of Ford Performance and RTR.”
To put the 1400 into perspective, the all-wheel-drive Mustang Mach-E’s GT ‘only’ has two electric motors that have a system power output of 342kW. The former has three up front and four at the rear. Battery size is 56.8kWh and up to 98.8kWh respectively.

Has Ford missed the Mach?Visually, the 1400 stands out from the Mustang Mach-E crowd with its dramatic racecar makeover, including its prominent front splitter, dive plans and rear wing spoiler.
As reported, Ford Australia is yet to confirm its plans for the Mustang Mach-E, which might not make its way Down Under to take on the Volkswagen ID.4 and possibly the Nissan Ariya.
