Get shorty! Two-door Jeep Gladiator coming alongside new electrified Jeep SUV

Jeep will reveal two new cars during the upcoming Easter Jeep Safari in April.

Jeep is bringing at least two new off-roaders to its Easter Jeep Safari event in April, with both having been teased ahead of the annual gathering.

With thousands of Jeep faithful expected to flock to the city of Moab in Utah, USA at the beginning of April for the week leading up to Easter, Jeep has endeavoured to bring “several one-of-a-kind, rock-crawling, terrain-traversing vehicles” to the event.

Enlisting its offshoot Mopar’s Jeep Performance Parts division, the brand has kicked off the trickle of information about the upcoming models by teasing two new concepts.

The two vehicles, which Jeep is referring to as concepts for now, include “one 4xe electrified Jeep SUV set to conquer Moab’s tumultuous backcountry trails in absolute silence”, as well as what very much appears to be a two-door, shrunk version of the Jeep Gladiator.

The electrified SUV looks to be a Wrangler Rubicon with a stripped-out specification and no doors, save for some bars instead, which means it's unlikely to make its way to ADR-stringent Australia. But the Gladiator could have a chance.

Shown without doors in a sketch, the concept appears to have rather wide wheel arches and a tray similar to that of the Gladiator. Of course, it’s a stylised concept sketch so we won’t have confirmation as to how likely this Gladiator-like model is to make it to production, let alone to Australia, until Jeep reveals the full concept.

Stay tuned for what should be more concepts and models from Jeep before the Easter Jeep Safari kicks off from April 1 to April 9.
