A new teaser image for Lamborghini's Aventador SVJ been released, revealing the madhouse supercar... will come in green.
Yep, it's not the most most revealing teaser image we've ever seen, showing little more than the Lamborghini badge perched on the lurid green paintwork, and framed by what appeared to be some pretty angry venting. But it's a start, right? Oh, and Lamborghini has promised, via the picture's caption, that the Aventador SVJ "will blow your mind".
The SVJ (or SuperVeloce Jota) is the super-slippery Aventador that broke the production car lap record at the Nurburgring last month. The heavily camouflaged car recorded a cracking 6:44.97 lap, claiming the title of world's fastest production car (at least around the 'Ring) off the Porsche 911 GT2 RS.
What else do we know? Conjecture mostly, but there will be a power boost to the regular Aventador's 6.5-litre V12 engine, as well as under-body work to the chassis and suspension. The big news, though, will be its aerodynamics, with the SVJ "designed to have the best aerodynamic efficiency" courtesy of the Italian brand's ALA (Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva) system.
Everything else will have to wait, we're afraid. But not long now; the Aventador SVJ will be unveiled in full at Pebble Beach in the USA on August 23.
