Lexus Australia will launch its new ES300h F Sport in October, bringing edgier looks and enhanced performance to the hybrid sedan range.
The new F Sport will sit above the current ES300h Luxury and Sports Luxury grades, which are now on sale from $59,888 (+ORCs) and $74,888, respectively.
Pricing for the F Sport will be confirmed closer to market launch, however, it will likely arrive with a circa-$80k pricetag.
Distinguishing features of the F Sport include a signature mesh grille with jet black plating, and a sharper bumper profile and rear garnish.
Unique 19-inch alloy wheels are fitted as standard, and lighting is enhanced by triple-beam LED headlights and adaptive high beams.
For an improved ride, the F Sport debuts a new adaptive suspension system, which can be controlled via the five driver modes: Eco, Normal, Sport S, Sport S+ and Custom.
Inside, the new range-topper gains a unique 8.0-inch TFT driver display, exclusive seat trim and a perforated leather steering wheel.
When the F Sport is released in October, all three ES300h grades will include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard.
The 12.3-inch multimedia display carries over, which features sat-nav, voice control, DAB+ and 10-speaker audio.
Flare Red and Black interior trim options will be available, and customers will be able to choose from 10 exterior colours.
Powering the ES sedan range is a 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine combined with an electric motor to produce 160kW, while fuel consumption is rated at just 4.6L/100km on the combined cycle.
"Stunning design has contributed to the success of the ES300h and the F Sport allows customers to embrace even greater visual appeal," said Lexus chief executive Scott Thompson.
"Additionally the unique suspension tune subtly increases the skew towards sharper dynamics while retaining focus on the model's renowned refinement.
