Lexus NX, RX Crafted 2019 pricing and spec confirmed

Lexus Australia has released special-edition variants of its NX and RX SUVs, dubbed Crafted, that add several features inside and out over their respective Luxury grades.

The mid-size crossover is available in 175kW/350Nm turbo-petrol NX300 form, with the choice of front- or all-wheel drive, and priced from $59,306 and $63,806 plus on-road costs `

Alternatively, the hybrid NX300h combines a 114kW naturally aspirated engine with a 105kW electric motor for a combined power output of 147kW. It's also offered in FWD ($61,806) and AWD ($66,306), with the latter adding a 50kW electric motor to the rear axle.

On top of the Luxury grade’s standard equipment, the NX Crafted adds black 18-inch alloy wheels, a darkened grille and side-mirror caps, keyless entry and start, illuminated 'Lexus’ front scuff plates and surround-view cameras. All of this comes at a $3906 premium.

Meanwhile, the RX Crafted large SUV is available in RX300 ($81,739), RX350 ($88,909) and RX450h ($98,018) guises. The former uses the same engine/transmission combination as the NX300 but is exclusively FWD.

The AWD-only RX350 ups the ante with a 221kW/370Nm 3.5-litre V6 and an eight-speed torque-converter automatic transmission, while the hybrid RX450h mates a 193kW/335Nm version of the bent six with a pair of electric motors (123kW front, 50kW rear).

Costing about $7900 more than RX’s Luxury variants, the Crafted brings black 20-inch alloy wheels, puddle lights, a panoramic moonroof, a 12.3-inch infotainment system, a windshield-projected head-up display, a 15-speaker Mark Levinson sound system and a darkened grille, foglight bezels, side-mirror caps and rear bumper.

“The NX Crafted is an authentic package that anticipates our customers’ desire to build on the contemporary style and functionality of the NX with features they will greatly appreciate.

“The RX Crafted is all about adding style, luxury and value that perfectly complement the space, convenience and manoeuvrability of our premium large SUV.”
