Mazda Australia introduces standard five-year warranty
Mazda Australia has introduced a range-wide five-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty for all vehicles sold from today onwards.
The news comes soon after Ford upped its standard warranty to five years earlier in May, and Holden followed suit later in July.
Along with the aforementioned, Mazda's five-year/unlimited kilometre assurance program is now in line with Honda, Hyundai and Skoda, but still falls behind Kia which offers seven-year/unlimited kilometre coverage.
However, American EV manufacturer Tesla still leads the market with its eight-year/unlimited kilometre set-up, which also comes with a separate eight-year/160,000km warranty for mechanical and electric issues.
Mazda Australia hopes the improved range-wide warranty will bolster buyer confidence in the brand, according to managing director Vinesh Bhindi.
"The new warranty will give customers another reason to choose Mazda, bolstering confidence in our already solid reputation for quality, hard-wearing cars," he said.
