Mitsubishi Triton 2019 ute seven-year warranty campaign extended

Mitsubishi’s Triton pick-up will come with a seven-year warranty for all vehicles purchased before August 31.
Mitsubishi Motors Australia has extended its promotional seven-year warranty campaign for its Triton ute to the end of August.
The Japanese brand previously offered a seven-year/150,000km warranty for all new 2019 model year Tritons purchased before June 30, but has now lengthened the campaign by two months.
The standard Mitsubishi warranty period covers five years/100,000km, but the Triton ute is offered with a cover period that outlasts its Toyota HiLux and Ford Ranger rivals, which come with a five-year/unlimited kilometre assurance.
Similarly, the Triton warranty is also longer than the Nissan Navara, Holden Colorado, Mazda BT-50 and Volkswagen Amarok, which all also have a five-year/unlimited kilometre peace-of-mind period.
Meanwhile, the Isuzu D-Max sports a six-year/150,000km offering, while Mercedes-Benz X-Class is offered with a three-year/200,000km.
The only pick-up model to match the Triton’s warranty length is the seven-year/unlimited kilometre SsangYong Musso.
CarsGuide has contacted Mitsubishi Motors Australia to determine whether the brand will offer the seven-year warranty permanently for the Triton, and other models, which would put it on par with Kia’s offering.
However, Tesla currently has the longest new-vehicle warranty period at eight-years/unlimited kilometres.
