Hyundai Australia has locked in pricing for the updated Ioniq 5 electric car, which is available to order now with a small price bump over the 2024 model.
The 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 now starts from $69,800 before on-road costs, representing a rise of $2500 over the previous price, consistent across the range and with the same six variant levels as before.
The major change for the Ioniq 5, however, is a larger battery size. A 63kWh battery replaces the 56kWh unit, while the old 77.4kWh battery is replaced with a larger 84kWh. The longer range variants can now travel up to a claimed 570km.

The base Ioniq 5 with the 63kWh battery wears the starting price, while a longer range 84kWh battery version is now $75,800.
The single- and dual-motor Dynamiq, both with the 84kWh battery, now come in at $80,800 and $85,300 respectively, while the higher-spec Epiq in 2WD and AWD are $84,300 and $88,800.
Some styling changes to the badges, bumpers, lighting and mirrors are the best ways to spot an updated Ioniq 5.
New to the Dynamiq and Epiq is an N Line pack, which adds a unique 20-inch alloy wheel design and more new styling additions. LED projection headlights are added for the top-spec Epiq, with Intelligent Front Lighting.
An updated steering wheel, centre console and connected car Navigation Cockpit multimedia system can be found inside, while the Ioniq 5 now features wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Underneath, a revised suspension tune brings “improved ride and handling” as well as “increased body stiffness” for more dynamic (not just Dynamiq) handling, according to Hyundai.
Safety updates include the addition of 'Forward Collision-avoidance Assist 2', 'Highway Driving Assist 2' and 'Navigation Based Smart Cruise Control', as well as 'Remote Smart Parking Assist 2'.
