New Mahindra Pik Up Black Edition 2020 pricing and specs detailed: LDV T60 Trailrider rival re-emerges

Mahindra Australia has expanded the PikUp line-up with a new Black Edition flagship, which arrives just three weeks after the ute’s MY20 update was released.

Based on the previously range-topping 4x4 S10+ dual-cab pick-up, the Black Edition – as its name suggests – adds several black features, including a steel bull bar, a custom decal kit, wheelarch flares, 17-inch alloy wheels, side steps, a tub liner and an alloy sports bar.

All of this extra standard equipment doesn’t come for free, though, as the Black Edition commands a $7000 premium over its S10+ sibling, at $39,990 driveaway.

Of course, the Black Edition does come with other kit, including dusk-sensing lights, rain-sensing wipers, a 7.0-inch touchscreen multimedia system, satellite navigation, Android Auto support, hill-descent control, hill-start assist and a reversing camera.

For the Black Edition, there are four available paintwork options: Artic White, De-Sat Silver, Napoli Black and Red Rage.

2020 Mahindra PikUp Black Edition

Like all other PikUp variants, the Black Edition is powered by a 103kW/320Nm 2.2-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine, which is mated to a six-speed manual transmission.

As with the wider Mahindra Australia model line-up, the Black Edition is covered by a five-year/100,000km warranty. It also comes with five years of roadside assistance and a four-year/55,000km capped-price servicing plan.

And if the Black Edition looks familiar, it’s because it was introduced last year as a limited-edition LDV T60 Trailrider rival, with its successful initial run leading to this permanent offering.
