GWM has revealed some minor changes to its Haval H6 GT range ahead of its new plug-in hybrid variant scheduled to arrive next year.
For 2025, the H6 GT line-up will swap chrome Haval badging on the tailgate for more prominent GWM badging in matte black, in line with a similar move on the brand's best-selling Haval Jolion.
GWM Marketing and Communications boss Steve Maciver told CarsGuide back in September that the move was part of a broader plan to increase GWM brand awareness across its multiple product lines.

Currently that includes the Tank, Haval and the electric-only Ora range.
“What we are doing is doubling down on the GWM master brand, which helps for brand recognition and consistency across the range,” Maciver said.
In addition to the new GWM badge, the Haval H6 GT will gain revised rear LED taillights which swap a red lens for a clear one, as well as an intelligent voice command function to enable hands-free operation of multimedia functions.
Despite the changes, no alterations to model line-up or pricing have been announced.
The new Haval H6 GT plug-in hybrid will arrive in the first quarter of next year with a drive-away price of $55,990, up from $46,490 on the top-spec Ultra AWD on which it is largely based.
That puts it in proximity to the BYD Sealion 6 (from $48,990), the Mitsubishi Outlander (from $57,290) and the Cupra Formentor VZe (from $64,990), all before on-road costs.
According to GWM, its 35.4kWh battery will deliver a class-leading 180km of pure electric range, which is a big increase over the Sealion 6’s claimed 80-90km and the Outlander’s 84km.
GWM claims a fuel consumption of just 1.0-litres/100km, which is also an improvement on both the Sealion 6 (1.1-litres/100km) and the Outlander PHEV (1.5-litres/100km).
It utilises a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 110kW/230Nm, mated to a trio of electric motors, two on the front axle and one on the rear.
All up it produces 342kW/762Nm for a 0-100km/h sprint time of 4.9 seconds.
