Is the 2022 Isuzu MU-X a little too tame for your tastes? TJM 4x4 might have the solution for you with its new range of off-road accessories designed specifically for the new-generation seven-seat SUV.
Headlining the range of components is the all-steel ‘Outback’ bull bar, which comes with integrated recovery points rated for 8000kg and a steel winch frame.
Construction consists of pressed and folded steel, and is also topped by a 63mm-diameter tube and rolled cato straps.

To compliment the new front-end protection, TJM has also developed all-steer side bars and steps that extend below the MU-X far enough to offer a higher level of underbody protection.
Aside from protection, TJM will also bring to market new XGS suspension for the Isuzu SUV in early 2022 to “enhance the MU-X’s ride, handling, ground clearance and load-carrying capacity”, according to the press release.
Featuring a twin-tube shock absorber and multi-stage valving, the new suspension is designed to quickly adjust to varying terrain, while TJM promises that it will not come at the cost of on-road performance and handling.
Rounding out the off-road accessories is a new Airtec snorkel designed specifically for the new MU-X.
TJM head of customer experience and retail strategy Matt Logan said interest in the D-Max ute’s accessories prompted the aftermarket company to quickly turn its attention towards the mechanically related MU-X.
“After the release of the D-Max last year, we knew that there would be plenty of people looking to get their hands on the new MU-X,” he said.
“So, with that in mind, our engineering and product team have been working tirelessly to give MU-X owners the best 4x4 accessories as soon as we could.”
As a reminder, the MU-X is powered by a 140kW/450NM 3.0-litre turbo-diesel engine, with prices starting at $47,900 before on-road costs for the entry-level LS-M 4x2.
