Subaru releases Aussie WRX photo
Enthusiasts more used to the previous model's sedan body type are concerned at Subaru's decision to make the new WRX available only as a hatchback.
There has also been considerable debate amongst enthusiasts and motoring journalists about whether the new design is a step forward or back for Subaru, long known for its abrupt changes in car design.
Subaru says complete specifications for the new model will be released by early September, with all four variants of the Impreza going on sale in Australia later that month.
While you wait, CARSguide's Kevin Hepworth takes the current model WRX for another drive and pronounces it still great value performance for your money.
Have your say:
- What do you think about the new look of the WRX?
- Do looks matter in a WRX, or is it all about how it performs and what it costs?
