The wait is over.
If you’re quick off the mark and live in Australia, your 2022 Ford T6.2 Ranger, Ranger Raptor and Everest might be delivered to you as soon as June, July and August respectively, as Ford enters the final stage of its most important release in years.
While final pricing, specifications and other details still remain a secret, a company spokesman has revealed that Australian buyers should expect their new Fords before the final quarter this year.

“The first customer deliveries of Ranger will arrive first, in June, followed by the Raptor in July and the Everest in August,” he said.
This ends months of speculation about the new T6.2 ute and SUV range, with some reports suggesting that the first deliveries have been delayed until much later this year.
Coincidentally, one CarsGuide reader has reached out to us, saying that a Ford dealer in Victoria will have their Everest Platinum ready for pick-up by mid-November this year, so these delivery dates are still very general.
The newly-revealed date information also means that we’ll know more about the all-important pricing details and features within the next few weeks, starting with the Ranger.
Of course, with the ongoing production issues affecting most manufacturers globally, these dates may change.
That said, Ford has been consistent in its messaging that the Ranger, Raptor and Everest are still on track, despite the delays.
The news is also great for Ford dealers, who are unlikely now to have stock shortfalls leading up to the new-generation models. We understand that some popular grades still have long waiting lists, but the company won’t run out of vehicles before the newcomers come on stream.
Production of the current-generation models are expected to end in April in the lead up to the launch of their replacements.
Stay tuned for more information about the new-generation Ranger, Ranger Raptor and Everest as it comes to hand.
