Toyota 4WD gets ultimate off-road package

2025 Toyota LandCruiser Prado 'Modellista'

Toyota’s in-house customisation brand, Modellista, has whipped up a wild rendition of the brand new LandCruiser Prado as the brand gears up for its US launch.

Much like something you’d expect in a zombie apocalypse film, Modellista has comprehensively redesigned the Prado’s body, overhauling the front and rear fascias, adding bulky protective surfaces and unique off-road accessories.

Headlining the look is the front bumper, which swaps the Prado’s more subdued ‘Toyota’ grille for a huge, vented steel plate with an embossed Toyota logo.

There are additional protective metal bits over the Prado’s headlights and new front bumper, which protrudes considerably further from the vehicle’s body than the standard model.

A thick LED light bar expands the length of the bonnet, and is complimented by neon green parking lights. A modified bonnet adds twin metal cables, extra lights and a plastic bonnet protector as well.

The metal theme continues at the rear with an even thicker Toyota-emblazoned steel plate sitting proud from the Prado’s tailgate.

The rear bumper similarly protrudes from the vehicle's rear, while there’s additional neon bits, a steel bash plate and a steel ladder ascending to the roof of the vehicle where owners can access the Modellista-branded platform roof-rack.

Additionally, there is a steel Modellista cargo carrier mounted to the side of the vehicle as well, which sits above a mix of protective plastic and steel materials mounted to the vehicles door and quarter panels, as well as its side skirts.

The entire body looks like its been lifted a few centimetres to accommodate what are probably the chunkiest Yokohama off-road tyres on the market, which wrap around small, multi-spoke rims.

The lift reveals neon-green suspension coils as well, suggesting a suspension tune, however no information has been spilled on that as of yet.

It’s highly unlikely that we will see this particular customisation in Australia given the Modellista brand has only recently announced its entry into the US market.

We might see a few impassioned Toyota enthusiasts import some body kits for the 2025 LandCruiser Prado a third-party provider, though.
