The special-edition Isuzu D-Max ‘Blade’ has been revealed ahead of the ute's official pricing and spec announcement this Friday.
As expected, the Blade, which will be modified by former Holden Special Vehicles tuner Walkinshaw, will receive sweeping cosmetic upgrades that boost its performance and off-roading prowess, at least superficially.
That means Blade-specific decals and trims as well as a blacked-out grille, sports bar, bulky wheel arches and a new-look alloy wheel design.

There are also chunky Goodyear all-terrains, black sidesteps, recovery hooks and a red underbody bash plate.
Those changes extend to the interior as well, which adds ‘Blade’ embossed leather upholstery.
Prior homologation filings have already revealed that the Blade’s ride height will be increased by 26.5mm on the front axle and 29.5mm on the rear, though it is unclear at this stage whether there will be further drivetrain upgrades.
It is understood D-Max’s 1.9-litre or 3.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engines will go unchanged, with Isuzu almost certain to pick the latter for the special-edition variant.
The engine produces 140kW/450Nm, with power transmitted to all four-wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission.
Full specifications and pricing are set to be revealed this week, with the Blade's price expected to start north of the current off-road focused X-Terrain’s starting price of $67,990 before on-road costs.
The Isuzu D-Max Blade will officially go on sale on November 1.
