Volkswagen Australia has temporarily cut the price of its servicing plans for selected passenger, SUV and light-commercial vehicles.
The German giant’s Australian arm says it is “proactively responding to Australia’s cost of living pressures” by making the change to new and used Volkswagens.
Any VW commercial vehicle – including the Caddy, Transporter, Multivan, Caravelle and Crafter vans and Amarok ute – purchased before June 30, 2022, will be offered with a five-year capped-price serving plan for the price of a three-year plan.

For the Caravelle the cost of $1450 is a saving for five years of $1539, and the Crafter’s servicing plan cost of $1750 is $1621 less than before.
The price for the four-cylinder Amarok is $1900 over five years and the V6 is $2050, which is a saving of $1761 and $1825 respectively.
VW is also rolling out some deals across the passenger car and SUV range, but these offers are only available if you sign up with Volkswagen Financial Services when you buy a new car.
If you buy a T-Cross before June 30, 2022 you get three years of complimentary servicing worth $1300. The same offer applies to Golf Life and R-Line variants if purchased before September 30, 2022.
All current Touareg and Arteon variants get a free five-year care plan if you buy one before June 30, 2022 and finance it with VW. Normally its’ $3000 for the Touareg and $2500-$2700 for Arteon, depending on the variant.
Further offers on Volkswagen used cars aged four years or older include two free services when you purchase a four-year 4Plus Care Plan before April 30, 2022.
It is limited to the first 500 commercial vehicle customers and 1000 passenger vehicle customers that redeem the offer.
The savings for commercial owners range from $602 to $744 depending on model, while the savings on the Golf and Tiguan are $597 and $593 respectively.
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brand director Ryan Davies said these servicing offers will help some buyers impacted by rising costs.
“Our commercial vehicle owners have been among the hardest hit with rising fuel prices, while customers of new vehicles have been incredibly patient while we work through some supply constraints – this is our way of helping.”
