Released in Australia by 1975, the Jaguar XJS could be had as a coupe or convertible with a selection of straight-six and V12 engines until production ended in 1996.
It found motorsport success both in Australia and abroad before being indirectly superseded by the wholly more modern Aston Martin DB7-related XK8 coupe in 1998.
