Here's what the Brock Adventra used to look like

By Malcolm FlynnMalcolm Flynn

Peter Brock raced a Holden Adventra? Well no, he didn't, but he was all set to tackle Dakar  in one before his untimely passing in 2006.

Sadly it appears that the Brock Adventra was destroyed by a garage fire yesterday, which makes us pretty glad we snapped these shots of it on display in the National Motor Racing Museum in Bathurst during last year's 1000.

It never got to the point of having an engine and transmission fitted, but as you can see it was otherwise pretty well developed from Holden's wannabe Subaru Outback.  And for the trivia buffs, it was also the only left-hand-drive Adventra in existence.

Which is your favourite Brock racer? Tell us in the comments.
