How much is this JDM unicorn worth to you?

Back in 2002 the Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II Nür Edition was an amazing vehicle capable of slaying some of the best supercars from Europe at the time.

While the Nismo-built N1 and Z-tune models are faster, rarer, and arguably more collectable, the chance to buy a R34 Nür with only 10km from new saw at least two punters willing to shell out over $365,000 ($290,000 USD) to snare the white monster.

  • It's hard to argue with such a mint example. (image credit: BH Auction) It's hard to argue with such a mint example. (image credit: BH Auction)

The auction happened during the 2018 Tokyo Auto Salon tuning show on January 12, and it has set social media on fire as to whether a car with only 10km is worth three-times (300%) more than a similar car with around 100,000km.

As one of the hottest cars of the JDM Turbo Era R34 GT-Rs have been skyrocketing in prices of late and we are looking at the building of a shift in the collector car market from '50s and '60s classics to '80s and '90s rides.
