Carsguide Contributing journalist Peter Anderson had this to say at the time: The difference isn't night and day - that would be genuinely stupid, because one of the cars would have to suck to be able to conjure up such a disparity. There are some who prefer a bit more punch out of corners and a bit more attitude. And there are some who prefer to work harder, to spin the engine out, to be more connected. The Fiat is the former - and plenty of fun - the Mazda the latter and also, as it happens, a riot.
