Given the price point, the Shark 6 is very well specified.
Standard equipment includes a high degree of advanced driver-assist safety gear, including autonomous emergency braking, cross-traffic alert/braking and lane support systems.
You'll also find a 15.6-inch rotatable central touchscreen, a 360-degree camera, powered/heated/vented front seats, premium audio with eight speakers, wireless phone chargers, rear privacy glass, vehicle-to-load (V2L) appliance-powering functionality, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and 18-inch alloy wheels.

The Shark 6 is big for a mid-sized dual-cab ute, with lots of space for five people.
The interior design is modern and fresh, with the dash being dominated by a 15.6-inch rotatable central touchscreen. It hosts most of the switchgear and controls, though the good news for people who prefer physical buttons is that the climate and vehicle-control settings are easy to find and operate. Just a bit of familiarisation is required.
A multi-adjustable driving position offers unobstructed views of the digital and multi-configurable instrumentation display. Similarly, vision out is good too.
Finally, as well as being well-finished and expensively-presented, the Shark 6 offers ample storage and ventilation, as well as lots of equipment.

BYD says the Shark 6 has a tub load capacity of 1200 litres.
BYD Shark 6 2025 Seats
The Shark 6 is a five-seater dual-cab ute. The front seats are electrically operated, with heating and ventilation.
The rear seat back squab is set at a 27-degree angle, which is said to improve comfort. It folds to reveal some additional storage, including for the jack.
Below that, the cushion is thick and supportive. It lifts up but there is no meaningful storage under there.

The Shark 6 features a 135kW/260Nm 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine, driving either the front wheels or charging the battery pack.
Combined with a 170kW/310Nm motor on the front axle and a 150kW/340Nm motor out on the back axle, providing four-wheel drive capability, the combined maximum power is 321kW and maximum torque is 650Nm.
