Asked by Peter Cocks
I am looking to update my car in the next few months. I've driven Falcons and Fairmonts for the past 25 years and am a happy Ford driver but this time I am considering an SUV. I am aiming for about a $30,000 changeover and I'm looking at a Honda CR-V or Nissan X-Trail. How do you rate them and what else should I consider? Kia and Hyundai SUVs look like great value but I have always looked on those brands as cheap plastic cars. Should I reconsider?

7 Mar 2016Stop me if you've heard this before. Definitely reconsider as the South Korean brands have made massive improvements in recent years and the Sportage tops the CR-V and X-Trail.
