Ford Fiesta 2010: Going into limp mode

Asked by Brett Sheeran

While driving up even the gentlest of hills, my wife's 2010 Ford Fiesta diesel displays an engine malfunction message and goes into limp mode. The dealer we took it to said that replacing the intercooler would definitely fix to problem. But after spending $1400 the problem is still occurring. We took their advice and spent the money but it didn't fix the issue. What do you suggest we do?

Your best course of action is to take it back and ask that it be fixed at their cost. It's all down to negotiation I'm afraid, but if they are reputable people they should come to the party.
