Asked by Michael
The automatic transmission in my 2009 Ford Focus was locked in park for six months. I used the manual push button override, but the car can only go into reverse. I left it over weekend and now it doesn’t start, but the lights and radio come on. Any ideas would help.

2 Nov 2018The most likely cause is a faulty neutral/park start switch that prevents the car from starting unless it’s either in Park or Reverse.
