Isuzu MU-X: Is it a good car for towing?

Asked by Karen Lorkin

We are looking for a four-wheel-drive to tow a 2800kg-3000kg caravan and would prefer not to get a big Toyota LandCruiser. We are not bush bashers, though we want to get off the highway into free camp sites, without all the extreme driving. It has been suggested we try Isuzu MU-X but we have not found enough info on the vehicle.

The MU-X is not as refined as a LandCruiser but is a lot cheaper and is a solid, sensible workhorse. It should be fine for towing and travelling.
